Chaotic (L.O.R.D.S. #7) — Chapter no 87

EIGHTY-SEVEN

EV ERETT

pace outside the door to the room. It’s been a week since ourI conver sa tion with Devin and Gavin about the possi bility of us be‐ ing parents.

Have you ever wanted some thing so badly, but you knew it was im‐ possi ble, but then all of a sudden, it’s not? It’s terrifying.

In our world, we aren’t allowed to dream. We are given what they think we deserve.

Bill’s words in his office keep re peating in my mind.“You’ll get ev‐ erything you want.”

I told him hehad jokes, but he knew. He had to have. That’s the only expla nation as to why he allowed Kashton to marry me. To help out with my assignment. He knew that I’d get what I al ways

wanted.

A family with a man who loves me.

So many things can still go wrong. I’m afraid to get excited or hopeful because it may not happen. Then what? I just go on with my life, knowing that it’s within reach?

What if the eggs don’t take and I run out? Devin said there aren’t many, but that all we need is one.

Is this the Lords playing another game with me? Will this be how they force Kashton to leave me? By putting me through one last as‐ signment that is going to break me? I put nothing past them.

Shaking out my hands, I let loose a deep breath and walk into the cold room, seeing the woman on the ta ble. She’s unconscious and lying under a white sheet. She’s not dead, but I’ve wished she was so many times in the past.

Moving to stand next to her, I look at the woman that I begged to help me. The one person I thought would understand the situ ation I was in and could save me. She chose their side. She was the one who suggested Garrett place me on fer tility drugs. That my body just needed a little help in order to pro duce children. I’ve hated her ever since. She recom mended I see a doctor. It was her idea for them to re trieve my eggs. Garrett would have never thought of that on his own. Like Kashton’s father once said,What’s the point of knocking up a woman if you can’t fuck her?

Is this what karma is? Am I supposed to be grateful or angry?

I run my hand over her dark hair. “You were right, Laura. We all must serve and have a purpose. I guess you finally found yours.”

I’m sitting in my room, like every other day, when the door opens and my father enters along with the bitch who told him I’d bitten

her.

My father once called her Laura.

She hates me. The feeling is mutual. It makes me so mad that my father lis tens to her and her nonsense.

“It’s been long enough,” he states. “It’s time to test your theory.”

“It’s not a theory,” she argues. “It’s science.”

“Here.” My father pulls something out of his pocket, holding it to

me. “Take this.”

I just stare at him.

He huffs. “Everett—”

Laura places her hand on his arm, cutting him off, and then re‐ moves what he’s hold ing. “It’s okay, Eve. This isn’t going to hurt. You just have to pee on it. That’s all. I’ll go with you.”

All they do is hurt me. I’m covered in bruises from when they hold me down and give me the shots that they say I need.

“No.” Why the fuck would they want me to pee on some thing? And why would she think I’d want her in the bathroom with me?

My father’s face grows tight. Turning, she walks him to the corner and speaks in a hushed voice. He nods a few times, and then they both turn back to face me. “You will pee on this stick. One way or the other,” my father tells me. “It’s up to you.”

“I’m not peeing on anything.” I shake my head. Fuck them.

p g y gy I will not bow down to them and their demands. I will not be the weak woman that Laura is trying to brainwash me to be. Raping your child isn’t okay. Letting your friends rape your child is not okay.

I might be une du cated, but I know right from wrong.

“Have it your way.” He rushes to the bed and grabs my ankle, yank‐ ing me off the mattress. I don’t even have time to catch myself be‐ fore I hit the floor. He picks me up by my hair and drags me out of the room while Laura follows behind.

I’m hauled into a room that I’ve seen before. He al ways brings me here to see the doctor that se dates me. I hate it because I wake up in my room afterward feeling groggy and sore for days.

He throws me onto a cold, hard surface. “Se cure her arms,” he or‐ ders Laura.

“Let me go,” I scream while my father holds my fore arms down to the metal table above my head.

“This is your way, Eve,” he tells me. “Always have to do shit the hard way.”

Something is wrapped around my wrists, tying them together, and after a few seconds, he re leases my fore arms.

I scream and kick when he grabs my sweat pants and pulls them down my legs. He takes one thigh while Laura comes to stand on the oppo site side of the ta ble and grips the other. Her nails dig into my skin, and my hips feel like they’re going to pop out while they hold me wide open.

I’m sobbing, my body trembling, and I yank on my arms, but she tied them down above my head. I arch my neck to see rope wrapped around my wrists that she’s connected to some thing under the table, mak ing it impossi ble to even lift them.

The door opens and the fe male doctor that usually se dates me en‐ ters. I hate that she puts me out, but right now I’m praying for it.

“Will this work?” my father asks her.

“Blood work would be more efficient, but…” She nods, trailing off.

“Yeah.”

“Please….” I beg my father, licking my wet lips. “Don’t do this.” I don’t even know what thisis, but I’m terrified. My heart is pounding,

and my pulse is racing. I’m sweat ing and having a hard time catch‐ ing my breath. “I’ll…do it. I’ll pee on it.”

“It’s too late for that,” Laura says, gripping my leg tighter, making me cry out. I know this was her idea.

The doctor walks over to the ta ble and leans over my waist, placing her hand between my legs. Her fin gers are rough as she wipes some thing cold all over my vagina, cleaning me.

“I’ll do it,” I rush out. Whatever they want me to do, I’ll do.

“Please…let me do it.”

They ignore me. The doctor picks up a little tube off her tray, and my father stops her when she pops the lid. “What is that?” he barks.

“Lubrication.”

“Do it with out,” he commands.

She doesn’t even question him, just drops it, then picks up a skinny yellowish tube and leans over me. Her hands are back between my shaking legs, and her fingers are rough as they enter my pussy.

I scream again as loud as I can, hoping some one hears me, but I know it’s use less. No one is coming to save me.

“Re lax,” she tells me. “Tensing will just make it more painful.”

“Please.” I arch my back off the ta ble, blinking through the tears.

“Stop…just stop…”

“Hold her still,” the doctor orders.

“I am,” Laura growls, yanking on my leg while my father presses the other into the table.

As if I’m lit on fire, heat rushes over my body, and the pain takes my breath away for a second.

“It’s in,” the doc tor calls out proudly and places some thing on my inner thigh. “This will hold it in place.”

They re lease both of my legs, and I close them and turn to my side, shaking uncontrollably. I’m going to throw up. I feel dizzy, and the blurry room tilts. “It…burns,” I man age through a sob.

They ig nore me.

I’m qui etly sobbing on my side with my arms still above my head.

“Please…take it out.” Whatever is inside me hurts. I try to rub my sweaty thighs to gether to re move it, but it doesn’t do any good.

“It’s working,” Laura chirps excitedly. She picks up the end of the tube and holds it out to my father.

He rips open the package he tried to give me in my bed room and holds it below the end of the tube. And my pee drips onto it.

“Get as much as you can,” the doctor tells them.

The room is silent other than my cries. After what feels like forever, some one speaks over me.

“Now we wait.” Laura drops the end of the tube to fall off the side

of the table.

“Re move it,” my father demands.

“Hold her legs,” the doctor instructs them.

Laura places the stick on the counter, and they each grab a shaking leg. I whimper when her nails once again dig into my skin, and they spread my legs wide open again.

The doctor leans over me, and I feel pres sure as something is be‐ ing ripped from inside me. “Done.”

They re lease my legs, and I curl into a ball, softly crying.

Laura slaps my father on the back while she holds the thing I peed on. “Congrat u la tions, it’s a baby.”

“The treatment worked.” The doctor nods proudly.

My father grunts.

“I told you. It just takes time,” Laura as sures him. “You’ve got a twenty-five percent chance you’re the dad.”

“W-what?” I ask breathlessly. A new kind of pain fills my chest.

“No—”

He wraps his hand around my throat, cutting off my air and pin ning my head to the ta ble. I kick my legs and buck my hips, trying to breathe.

Lower ing his face to mine, he growls, “It better be a fucking boy, or I’ll set it on fire.”

He lets go of me, and I suck in a breath that burns my lungs and sob. This can’t be happening. I can’t be pregnant. All this time, they’ve been raping me. I knew why, but I prayed it wouldn’t work.

That my body was incapable of carrying a child. I’m still one myself.

“If it’s a girl, I’ll take it off your hands.” Laura shrugs.

My father snorts. “You already have a daughter.”

yyg She smiles at him. “Girls are more useful than you give them credit for.” Her eyes slide to my tear-filled ones when she adds. “You catch more flies with honey.”

He tilts his head, consider ing her words, and then smiles down at me. “Actu ally…now that I think of it, I hope it is a girl. Maybe she’ll be use ful and give me what you can’t. I’ll take either or really. A boy will give me another chance. I’ll train him differently—like an animal.

I’ll make sure he only sees women as some thing to use. And I’ll start by forc ing him to fuck you. Maybe he’ll have better luck. Either way, I’ll get what I want out of you.”

This woman put her daughter through hell. I know what she al‐ lowed to happen to Elli, and it makes me sick. She deserves to live a long, tortured life here in Carnage. She loved coming over here and was proud she was able to give my father what he wanted—my pregnancy.

The door opens behind me. “I thought I’d find you in here.” Kash‐ ton comes up behind me. He wraps his arms around me, and I lean into him. “Devin said the pro cedure went well. Now we just wait.”

I turn around and glance up at my husband. He smiles down at me, but it drops when he sees the look on my face doesn’t match his.

“Don’t be nervous, Eve.”

I lick my lips.Nervous? Is that what I am? Be cause I’m pretty sure I’m losing my mind. “I, I…”

“Stop.” He cups my face in both of his hands. “Listen to me, angel.

It’s okay to be happy. To want this.”

My throat closes and my vision gets blurry. “I don’t deserve —”

“Bullshit,” he interrupts me softly. “You deserve this. You didn’t de‐ serve what they did to you. But this…” His thumbs gently wipe the tears from my cheeks. “This is the fu ture that they took from you, Eve, and I’ll be damned if I let them do it again from their graves.”

KASHTON My broth ers and I exit the Escalade and walk up to the door of the house. I knock before glancing at my watch. It’s a little past noon, and he knows we’re coming.

The door opens and Sin greets us with a bright smile. “Hey, my bitches.”

Haidyn grunts, Saint laughs, and I shake my head with a smirk.

“Come in.”

I enter first, followed by my broth ers.

Sin closes the door and asks, “You guys want anything to drink?”

“No thanks,” we say in unison.

We all sit down in the living room, and I lean forward with my el‐ bows on my knees. “Is Elli going to try and shoot me?” I joke.

Easton laughs. “I can’t make any prom ises, but I did hide my gun just in case.”

Just then, Elling ton enters the room. “Who was at the door…” She trails off when she sees us. Her large eyes go to her husband. “Sin, what’s going on?”

“Come here.” He reaches out to her, and she sits down be side him on the couch across from us.

She looks terrified, her face now pale and her breathing er ratic.

“We want Easton to join the Spade broth ers.” I come right out with it. There’s no reason to worry her. We’re not here to threaten or drag anyone from their home. I know there was a time we showed up and made that threat to collect if Easton didn’t deliver, but things

have changed.

“What?” She shoots to her feet. “No—”

“Elli.” Sin stands as well.

“You want this?” she asks with a hand on her chest. “Why?” Her

voice rises. “They almost killed you.”

“It wasn’t like that,” Sin argues.

“It was exactly like that,” she shouts. “You were bleeding…your blood was all over their clothes. I watched Bill and Tyson carry your unconscious body out of that…dungeon. Gavin had to intu bate you because he said your body deserved the break.”

“It wasn’t personal,” Saint offers.

“It was to me,” she growls at him. “How dare you come into my house? Two of you know what it’s like to lose your wives, so have some God damn re spect for my marriage.”

“Elli.” Sin grabs her hands. There’s a smile tugging at his lips. He’s proud of his wife for finding her voice, but he’s also try ing to con‐

vince her this is a good thing. “It won’t be like last time,” he as sures her.

“Yeah. We’ll sedate him for the brand,” Haidyn tells her.

She glares at him while Sin snorts. “I can handle it,” he tells Hai‐ dyn.

“Eas ton,” she snaps, “you can’t be serious.”

“Look—”

“He’s doing this for you. Your fu ture,” I interrupt Sin. He’s not going to win with her, so I’ll explain it.

“Our fu ture is fine,” she assures me. “We don’t need any of you.”

“If Sin dies tomorrow, you’re regifted,” I tell her.

She swallows, looking away from me.

“We didn’t come here to frighten you. We’re here to help you,” I go on at her silence. “If Sin becomes a Spade brother, he appoints one of us as your guardian.” I hold up my hand when she opens her mouth. “It’s nothing more than some one who takes care of you and the kids. There are no strings attached to it. It guarantees your safety and the children’s. The Lords can’t hand you over to another Lord.”

Elling ton nibbles on her bottom lip for a second. “What about Car‐

nage?”

“What about it?” Hai dyn asks.

“We have to live there?”

“No,” I answer her. “We don’t have to live there. We just choose to.”

But that’s changing soon. “You guys can stay here. Hell, you can move across the country if you want. Nothing will change.”

“But…” She falls down onto the couch, and Sin sits next to her.

“Tyson told me that the Lords couldn’t find out that he was at Car‐ nage. That’s why they had to re place his Lords crest with the original size that you guys re moved when I offered to give him mine.”

“Be ing a Spade brother and being a prisoner at Carnage are two very different things,” I inform her.

Elling ton looks at her husband. “This is what you want?”

He takes her hands in his. “I want you and the kids safe. That’s what matters.”
