Chaotic (L.O.R.D.S. #7) — Chapter no 41

FORTY-ONE

EV ERETT

“Charlotte?” I tap her shoulder.

“Hmm?” She opens her heavy eye lids and looks up at me.

“The movie is over.”

She pushes out her bottom lip. “I slept through the entire thing?”

I chuckle. “Yeah. You obviously needed it.” The pregnancy is drain‐ ing her in more ways than one.

We get back to the living room of the suite, and I notice Ashtyn has a little more pep in her step than usual.

I’m exhausted and Charlotte can barely keep her eyes open. “Good night, girls,” Char lotte says through a yawn before disappearing into her room.

I enter our room and plop down on the bed. I pull up Kashton’s contact on my cell and press Call. He answers im mediately.

“Hey, angel.” I ignore the way my heart flutters at the nickname.

“We’re about to head back to Kingdom—”

“DoesTitanic mean anything to you?” I interrupt him.

He’s silent, and I wonder if he’s stepping away from the guys. “Ti‐ tanic?” he finally asks, but this time he’s lowered his voice, only proving my suspicions.

“Yeah. The movie. Does it mean anything to you?” For three hours, I sat there trying to figure out what the fuck she meant by herfa‐ vorite part. She wanted Charlotte and me to know that for a reason.

Even though Charlotte had already passed out.

“No.”

“Think the first thing that comes to mind when I say it.Titanic.

Movie. Jack and Rose. Cherry sucker,” I rattle off, rolling onto my

back and staring up at the ceiling.

He’s silent long enough that my pulse begins to race. I sit up and clench the cell in my head. “What does it mean to you, Kash?”

“The movie means nothing to me,” he whis pers. “It’s noth ing.”

It’s the same thing he said when I asked if I should be jeal ous that he’s slept with Ashtyn. He’s lying to me. “What does it mean to Ashtyn?” I re word the question.

“Everett.” He sighs, and I know I’m not wrong.

I’ve never had a boyfriend—or even been in a re la tionship, for that matter—but I imagine if I ever did, I’d be the girl who would need to know everything he did with the girl before me. And although Ashtyn wasn’t his girlfriend, she was in his life. Probably more than a typical girlfriend would be. Her twin brother was their best friend. They were all inseparable, and I need to know what significance this fuck‐ ing movie holds for her. And why was she shoving it in my face? I’m no threat to her. I don’t want her husband, and neither does Char‐ lotte.

His re fusal to answer tells me all I need to know. “Good night,

Kash.”

“Eve—”

I hang up on him and get off the bed. Storming out of our suite, I go to her door and knock on it. I’ll go to the source.

“Hey. Need something?” Ashtyn asks.

Stepping inside the room, I slam the door shut behind me. “Char‐ lotte is a better person than I am.”

She’s got a fake smile plastered on her face and flutters her lashes at me. “What do you mean?”

I step into her, and it starts to waver. “You may be pregnant, but your face isn’t, and I will knock your teeth out of your fuck ing mouth.”

The smile disappears, and her face goes white. “What…?” She gasps, her hand on her chest. “Why do you hate me so much? Is it because I’ve slept with Kashton?”

This bitch! She wanted me to know that information. As if I didn’t al ready know she was their whore. Made it sound innocent but wanted to make sure I was aware that she was part of his past.

I want to laugh in her face, but she wouldn’t understand why I find that funny. I’m not the least bit jealous of Ashtyn. I believe Kashton when he said it was nothing. What pisses me off is how she blatantly disre spects Charlotte. “Honey, Kash took what Saint offered him. I let him take whatever he wants. We’re not the same.”

Her eyes narrow on me, and I can’t fight back the smile. There it is.

The jealousy that I know is there. The very thing Charlotte says doesn’t exist. She feels sorry for Ashtyn. I fuck ing don’t.

Ashtyn wants to belong to all of them. She wants to be theirs, but it’s just not happening. They’re each moving on, and it’s killing her.

She’s not the center of their world anymore. Pity.

She doesn’t need sym pathy. The bitch needs to be humbled.

“I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make, but I as sure you, Charlotte couldn’t care less.” Ashtyn squares her shoulders at my words. “You have a husband. So if you need a dick to suck, beg him for it.” I give her my back and slam her door shut, done with this conver sa tion.

I’m not sure what it will accomplish. Maybe it was the fact that I wanted her to know I see what she’s doing. How she’s throw ing her‐ self at men who aren’t hers. Or how she wants Charlotte to doubt Haidyn. Either way, I feel better.

“Everything okay?” A sleepy-looking Charlotte opens her door be‐ fore I en ter mine, hearing the commo tion.

“Yeah.” I give her a re as suring smile.

Her eyes go to Saint and Ashtyn’s door, then back to mine just as Muffin darts out of her room between her feet. She brought her cat with her. The thing is spoiled rotten, and I love it.

“Hey, pretty kitty.” I pick her up and scratch her neck, making her purr. “What kind of cat is she?” I ask, al ready knowing. I just want to distract her from the conver sa tion I had with Ashtyn. I know Charlotte has doubts in her mind, but she tries to convince herself there’s noth ing there. And I believe there isn’t…for Hai dyn.

“She’s a Per sian.”

“She’s beautiful.” I set the cat down, and she runs back into the room.

Just then a doorbell rings throughout the suite. Charlotte frowns at me, and I shrug. The door to Ashtyn’s bed room opens, and she tosses her hair over her shoulder, making her way to the front dou‐ ble doors. Opening one, a woman with red hair enters, hold ing two bottles of tequila.

I know exactly who she is and why she’s here. Thankfully, she has no clue who I am.

“Who wants to drink our selves into a coma?” she asks with a bright smile.

Ashtyn laughs, closing the door behind her. Then she looks from me to Charlotte. “Well,we’re all pregnant, so you’ll be drinking alone.”

I feel a pain in my chest at Ashtyn’s words, but I plaster a smile on my face. “I’m not. I’ll have a few with you.” If Ashtyn is trying to force me to hide in my room, it’s not going to happen.

“Per fect.” The redhead sets the bottles on the bar top and grabs two glasses.

I feel Ashtyn’s eyes on me, but I ignore her. I know this is another way of her throw ing some thing in my face. It just proves that I can’t trust her and my gut instinct to hate her is correct.

“I’m going to call it a night.” Charlotte yawns. Hones tly, I don’t know how she’s still standing.

“Good night,” Ashtyn sings to her, and I want to deliver the threat of knocking her teeth out. She’s got an audience, so she’s going to be even more insufferable than usual.

I’ll have a few drinks. Then I’m going to shower and pass out.

The redhead sits at the bar, pouring me a drink. Her cell sits by her glass when it starts to ring. She quickly ignores the call and turns it over. Giving me a big smile, she taps her glass to mine. “Cheers.”

“Cheers,” I agree and take a big drink.

KASHTON I en ter the suite and come to a stop when I see Ashtyn, Jasmine, and Everett sitting at the bar. Haidyn, Hooke, and Saint enter behind me, and Haidyn doesn’t even offer agood night when he re alizes his wife must be in bed. He heads straight to their bedroom, closing the door behind him.

Well, this can’t end well. Is this why Eve is so mad at me? Why she called me asking aboutTitanic? Jasmine doesn’t have anything to do with that, though.

“Kashton.” Ash throws her arms out. “Look who came to visit.” She gestures to Jasmine, as if I could miss the redhead I used to pay to fuck.

Eve tosses a shot back and slams the glass down, then gets up from her seat at the bar, heading to our bedroom.

“They’re—”

“I better get going.” Jasmine stands, interrupting Ashtyn before she can say anything stupid.

If Eve wants to know about everyone I’ve fucked in my past, I’ll tell her. Jasmine knows we never had anything other than sex. Hell, I paid her for it. Every. Single. Time. Even after she stopped being a Queen. It was a transaction and that was it. She may be a part of our world, but we never had a fu ture. Not one that I wanted any‐ way.

“What?” Ashtyn pouts. “We just got started.”

Jasmine stumbles to throw away one of the empty bottles of tequila.

“You should crash here,” Ashtyn tells her.

Jasmine shakes her head. “Absolutely not. I ar rived in an Uber; I’ll

leave in one.”

“I’ll take you home.”

We all turn around to see Hooke checking his Rolex as if to see how far past his bed time it is. He is still on East Coast time. He looks tired, but his tone says he feels obligated to be a gentleman.

Jasmine snorts. “No thanks. I’ll take my chances walking the Strip.

Alone.” Her cell rings and she sighs before answering. “Hello? Yeah, I’m about to head home. I’ll stop by on the way.” Hanging up, she walks toward the door.

Hooke moves to block her exit. “Booty call?” he asks, arching a brow.

“Who I fuck is none of your business, but no. It was Kink. There’s an issue—”

“I’ll take you,” he interrupts her. Opening the door, he ushers her out while ignoring her protests.

I don’t even bother to tell anyone good night and storm off to our room. I see Eve’s phone on the bed. She turned it off after she hung up on me. I know because I called her several times, and each one went straight to voice mail.

The shower is running, and I rip open the glass door to see her standing under the spray. “What the fuck was that phone call about?” I demand.

She ignores me, and I reach in, grabbing her arm and yanking her

around to face me. “Eve?”

“It sucks being ignored, doesn’t it?”

I won der how much she had to drink since our phone call because Jasmine threw an entire empty bottle of tequila away. And I know it was just her and Jasmine drinking because Ashtyn is pregnant, and she isn’t that stupid.

“What the hell happened?” I command. “I was only gone for five hours.”

She starts soaping up her naked body, and I watch the way her hands caress her breasts, down her waist and around her hips. The suds cascade over her thighs, and my cock hardens at the thought of shoving her to her knees and fuck ing her mouth until I come all over her face.

“Eve?” I grind out. Be tween whatever shit Ashtyn is trying to pull and Eve ignor ing me, my irritated mood has gone sour quickly.

She fin ishes rinsing, turns off the water, steps out, and yanks the towel off the hook on the wall. “Well, we decided to watch a movie, and Ashtyn choseTitanic while sucking on a cherry sucker like it was some one’s dick. That was my first clue, then she made sure to tell me how much she ‘looooved’ a certain part. I can only imagine why.”

She looks me up and down with disgust. “Surely it had to do with all of your dicks. Which means you lied to me.”

Je sus Christ. I run a hand down my face. “I didn’t lie. The movie meant nothing to me.” She asked me a question, and I answered.

Plain and simple.

“What do you call it?” she demands.

“The first time we…” I trail off.

“Fucked her,” Eve growls.

“Yes.” I grind my teeth but continue. “I dropped by Saint’s dad’s house, and the three of them were in the media room, and some‐ thing was playing on the screen.” I wasn’t paying much attention to that. “We…took our turns.” Eve’s eyes narrow on me. “What do you want me to say?” I ask, throw ing my arms out to my sides. “The

truth or lie?”

“The truth,” she snaps.

“Then don’t get mad at me for it,” I shout. Eve huffs, and I lower my voice. “She wants to piss you off.” The fact that Jasmine was

here proves that.

“No. She wants to fuck Haidyn.”

I snort at that. “That’ll never happen.” Not again anyway.

She turns around, lean ing her ass against the counter, and crosses her arms over her wet chest. “Tell me that if given the chance, she

wouldn’t fuck him.”

I shake my head. “Haidyn would never—”

“But she would.”

“Why do you care so much?” I wonder. “That’s between Hai dyn, his wife, Saint, and his wife.” Haidyn would never step out on Charlotte.

No matter what Saint would allow Ashtyn to do with another man.

I’m not even sure if Saint would let Ashtyn do it anymore. He was all for letting us use her when he brought her back from Ve gas, but we didn’t want her. I’ve al ways cared for Ashtyn, but I’m not the same man I was back in college. And I still haven’t forgiven her for shoot‐ ing Saint.

“I don’t trust her.” She huffs. “She blatantly throws herself at him, and I don’t know if Saint sees it or chooses to ignore it, but if Char‐ lotte isn’t going to stick up for her self, I will.”

“What does that mean?” I ask.

She shrugs, turning around to give me her back, and starts brush‐ ing her wet hair.

I slap her ass so hard she jumps with a yelp. “Explain,” I demand, ripping the brush from her hand and tossing it across the bathroom.

Spinning back around, her wet hair slaps my chest. “It means I threatened to knock her teeth out of her mouth.”

My eyes widen. “Fuck, Eve…”

“She wanted to make a statement.” She shrugs again. “So I made one of my own.”

I place my hands on either side of her face. “You’re crazy, you know that?”

She lifts her chin. “Let her go cry to her husband like a little bitch, and when he comes to me, I’ll fill him in on what she’s been doing.”

“Saint isn’t going tocome to you,” I tell her. I highly doubt Ashtyn will say anything to Saint because if she is playing a game that Char‐ lotte is choosing to ignore, she now knows that Everett isn’t. “I won’t let him.”

She snorts. “I don’t need you to pre tend to take my side over your brother’s wife.”

I frown at her choice of words. “I’ll al ways take up for you. You come first. Over anyone else.” I’m begin ning to understand why my broth ers went so far to do what they did for their wives. Why noth‐ ing else—not even me—mattered to them. If it came down to it, I’d pick Eve. With out a thought.

Rolling her eyes, she says, “And then she invited Jasmine. I know you’ve fucked her.”

“It meant nothing.” She’s try ing to act like it doesn’t matter, but the fact that she even brought it up tells me oth er wise. I like my girl jealous, but not at the cost of her trust. She can trust me. I’d never hurt her. Not like that. She’s it for me.

“I don’t care if it was last week, Kash, or since we ar rived here to‐

day.”

“I haven’t been with anyone since you—”

“If you want to fuck them, fuck them.” She shrugs, pre tending like she doesn’t care. “It’s the fact that Ashtyn is trying to fuck with me and Charlotte that matters.” Eve goes to turn back around once more, but I keep a hold of her, re fus ing to let her dismiss me.

“Listen to me, angel.” My girl needs to unwind. She’s stressed and drunk. “I’m se rious.” I drop my hands to push her wet hair off her shoulders. “Let it go. Ashtyn is just being Ashtyn. She’ll get bored

and move on.” I think she’s lashing out because of Adamdying.

Maybe the babies…hell, maybe she’s just being a bitch. “Charlotte is a big girl, and Haidyn would never do anything to hurt his wife. And I’m not going anywhere. You’re my girl. My angel.” I give her a re as‐ suring smile. “I prom ise…she’s just fuck ing with you.”

She huffs, and I can smell the tequila on her breath. “It’s working.”

Biting back a smile at her confes sion, I step into her, not caring that my clothes are soaking up the water that still drips down her naked body. “It’s not worth it. She isn’t worth it.”

“Eas ier said than done,” she mumbles.

“What about you and Cross?” I go ahead and ask. If she’s going to be pissed at me, I might as well get the answers I want.

“Excuse me?” She steps back. “What about him?”

“Has he fucked you?”

Her eyes narrow. “You can’t be serious.”

“I saw the way he looked at you and the way you spoke before he could say too much.”

She looks away, jaw sharpen ing. “No.” Her eyes find mine once

more. “Cross has neverfucked me.”

“Then what was that?” I push.

Running a hand over her hair, she sighs. “He gave me my tattoo.”

My eyes drop to her hip. “Your butterfly?”

“Yes,” she hisses. “It’s the only tattoo I have. As you can see.” She lifts her arms out wide and turns in a circle before slapping them down to her thighs.

My cell goes off and her eyes hold mine. “You going to get that?”

It’s a challenge. She thinks I’m hid ing some thing from her. Eve can go through my phone at any time.

I re move my cell to see it’s a text and frown.

“Who is it?” she asks, wringing out her hair with her towel while

looking at me in the mirror.

“It’s an unknown number.”

She turns around. “The Lords? Is it my as signment for initiation?”

Eve nibbles ner vously on her lip, her mood changing quickly.

I open it up. “It’s Adam. He wants to see me in person when we get back.” I pocket my cell, and she looks away from me. Pulling her

body flush with mine, I go to kiss her, but she pushes me away.

“Let me brush my teeth,” she protests. “The taste of tequila is mak‐ ing me want to vomit.”

I drop the conver sation about her and Cross because I believe her.

Turning to leave the bathroom, I prop my shoulder up against the doorframe and watch her in the mirror. “Let’s go out.”

She rinses her mouth out and turns to face me. “Go out?”

Nod ding, I push off and walk over to her. “I want to take my girl out.”

A soft smile pulls at the corner of her plump lips. “I’ll have to get ready.”

“Then get ready.” I run my hand through her wet hair. “Do your makeup and fix your hair. Put on a party dress.” They say this town never sleeps.

Leaning in, I press my lips to hers, and she lifts her right leg, wrap‐ ping it around my hip.

“Will you fuck me before?” she whispers against my lips.

I smile. “Of course. But you’re not allowed to come.”

She groans and her nails dig into my sides through my shirt, pinch‐ ing my skin. “You love to make me wait.”

“I love to see you desperate,” I correct her, taking a step back and order, “Re move my belt.”

Nibbling on her bottom lip, she quickly undoes the buckle and pulls the leather from the loops. Then she holds it out to me.

I take it and command, “Turn around.”

Doing as she’s told, she places her hands behind her back, and I tie them off with my belt. I step into her and grab a fistful of her hair, yanking her head back, making her cry out. “Do not come, Eve. Do you understand?”

She tries to nod but whimpers, shuffling on her feet. “I…I under‐ stand.”

“We’ll see.” I quickly undo my jeans and shove them out of the way to pull my dick out. I need to be inside of her.

I run my free hand over her pussy, and she moans, push ing back against me, and I smile to myself. Taking my hard cock in my hand, I slide into her cunt, lis tening to her breath hitch as I stretch her to

accommo date my size. “Fuck,” I groan. “Goddamn, Eve.” My eyes drop to watch my cock disappear as I bend her over the counter once more.

The sound of our bodies slapping fills the room over her moans and whimpers. I’m so fuck ing hard for her. My girl. “Watch your self, Eve,”

I com mand, yanking her head off the mirror. “Look how pretty you are when I fuck you.”

Her heavy eyes find mine in the mirror, and I fuck her harder. An animalis tic need comes over me, and I slam her hips into the side of the counter, knowing I’m bruising her. They’ll look beautiful later when I tie her to the bed and make her beg for me.

Her pussy clenches, and I slam into her, making her cry out. “Do not fuck ing come, Eve,” I re mind her.

“I’m…” Her heavy eyes fall shut. “I’m trying…not to.”

I let go of her hair, grip her hips, and drop my eyes to watch my cock slide in and out of her tight cunt. I’m so close. This is a quickie.

For me. To give her something to look forward to later.

My balls tighten and I smile to myself as I slam forward and come inside of her. Pulling out, I take a stumbling step back, and she slumps against the counter, hands still tied behind her back.

I reach forward, grip her arms, and yank her to stand. Turn ing her to face me, I grab her neck with one hand, feeling her pulse race, while the other gently pushes her wet hair from her face. “Look at me,” I order.

Her lashes flutter open while she tries to catch her breath. I lean forward and gently kiss her plump lips. “My cum will leak from your cunt tonight while we’re out on the town. You will not touch your self.

Do you understand?”

“Yes sir,” she whispers.

“Get ready.” I kiss her parted lips once more before I pull away and let go of her neck, going to pick out her outfit.
