Chaotic (L.O.R.D.S. #7) — Chapter no 60
SIXTY
KASH TON
er tear-filled eyes drop to inspect the 8.12 carat emerald cutH diamond. It has a cut shield diamond on either side with a dia‐ mond-set platinum band. I knew the mo ment I saw it that she needed it. “How does it fit?” I ask, running my thumb over it.
“Per fectly.” She as sures me. “It’s perfect.” Placing her hands on my face, she kisses me, and I wrap my arms around her, pulling her into me.
I wanted this to be special for her. A chance to show her just how much she means to me. Words only go so far. They only mean so much. I’m going to prove to her how much I love her. That I can take care of her.
“Se riously?” Sin calls out, and she pulls away laughing as I look at
the open door. “It’s time.”
“We’re coming,” she laughs softly.
I look over her necklace and then check her ears and see she hasn’t put in the earrings Bill got her. “Be right there,” I as sure him and he closes the door when I grab the small box and hold it out to her.
She re moves the diamond studs and re places them with the ear‐ rings that Bill gave her. I close the box with the diamonds now in them and set it aside. “You look stun ning, Eve.”
Her cheeks turn pink at the compliment. “Come on.” I take her hand, and we exit the owner’s suite and step out onto the deck. I’ve got it lined with rose petals to a black altar at the bow of the yacht.
“You shouldn’t have done this for me,” she whispers.
I turn to look at her, and her watery eyes scan the bow. “I’d do anything for you,” I tell her, and when she looks at me, I gently kiss her lips. This is just the start of our forever.
“Truly Madly Deeply” by Savage Garden begins to play, and Sin clears his throat, standing under the altar.
Eve glances at me. I shrug. “Where’s Howard?” I ask, looking around.
He smiles, answering, “I told the officiant he wasn’t needed. I’m going to marry you.” Sin pulls his shoulders back. “Don’t worry. I’m legit. I got ordained online today.”
I open my heavy eyes, hearing my phone beep. Looking at my wife, I see she’s tucked into my side, right arm across my chest and sound asleep.
Reach ing over, I pick up my cell and see I have a new video mes‐ sage. I gently pull out from underneath Eve and put on my dress slacks before opening the sliding glass door and stepping out onto the bal cony. The ocean looks like black glass. It’s so dark out here, and the sound of the waves is calm ing. After our cere mony, I opted for the patch that Sin also got for me in case the gum didn’t work. I pre fer the patch much more.
I fall into a chair and run a hand down my face before I open up the video. It’s in the group chat with Saint and Haidyn.
When I press Play, a room comes into view. It’s the same one she was in for her initiation, but only Evan is currently present. He’s got his back to the camera, tossing some things onto a tray, but I’m un‐ able to see what they are.
The door opens and Eve is shoved into it. “Fucking bitch,” she hisses at the man who pushed her inside before turn ing to face Evan.
The door opens once again, and my pulse races when I see who has entered. Her back is to him, so she doesn’t notice. Too fo cused
on Evan.
“Get on the table,” Evan orders her.
“I will not,” she argues, snorting.
Evan turns to face her. His eyes flicker to the Lord watch ing their exchange. “If you don’t—”
“You will have to make me,” she interrupts him.
I love my girl, but she’s so stubborn. It’s going to get her killed one day.
“Eve…” Evan smirks. He’s enjoying this. “We’ve talked about this.”
“And I told you to go to hell.” She spins around to rush out of the room but doesn’t get far. The Lord swings, punching her in the face.
My heart races when she drops to the concrete floor like dead‐ weight. She didn’t even see his fist coming.
She’s on her side, her legs and arms twisted, matted hair cover ing parts of her already bruised face. Now it’s bleeding.
“Put her on the ta ble,” Evan orders the kid who brought her into the room while he walks over to the Lord. “Mr. Reeves. What a sur‐ prise.”
Garrett shakes his hand while he watches the kid ar range an un‐ conscious Eve on the ta ble. “Still as stubborn as ever, I see,” he says, re fer ring to his daughter.
Evan squares his shoulders as if offended, and I get a sickening feeling. “It takes time, sir, but I assure you, she will submit.”
“I’ll be the judge of that.” Garrett crosses his arms over his chest.
Evan turns and walks over to the counter while the kid pre pares Eve. Arms out to her sides and strapped down to the ta ble, palms up. A thick belt around her chest, stomach, and upper thighs, along with her ankles.
All I can think isat least her legs are closed. They’re not going to rape her. But if not that, then what? Why did Evan want her in this room to begin with, and why is her father here? He tossed her away like trash. Why does he care about her progress?
Everett groans in pain as she starts to come around, arching her neck.
I run a hand through my hair.God dammit, Eve. At least she’s alive.
I just keep re minding myself that they don’t want her dead.
Evan starts opening and slamming cab inets, and my stomach knots. He’s changing his plan. Now he’s going to prove a point to Garrett at Eve’s expense.
“Here.” Evan wads up what looks like black fabric that has a belt connected to it. “Put this on her,” he orders the kid.
The Lord-in-training starts to softly push Eve’s hair off her bruised and bloody face.
“Give me that,” Garrett snaps, yanking what I now see is a hood from the kid’s hands. He shoves it over Eve’s head and face, not car‐ ing about being gentle as he stretches it. The fabric is tight, show ing off the hollowness in her eye sockets, the curve of her nose, her sunken-in cheekbones, and her chin before he pulls it down to cover her neck. It has a thick belt that Garrett pulls tight and buckles in the front.
Eve moves once more. “Wh-at?” The only part of her face that can be seen is her mouth. She licks her busted lips, smear ing the blood across them.
“This as well.” Evan tosses something else to Gar rett.
He snatches it midair and then grips Eve’s cheeks painfully, making a cry ring out in the quiet room. He shoves the black rubber into her mouth. It re sem bles a mouthpiece with a hole in the center for her to breathe out of. He pushes her head up, fas tens it, and then drops it to the metal table.
She can no longer see or speak. It’s probably also hard for her to hear. She’s help less. At their mercy.
Her hands fist, and she starts to fight the re straints. She’s coming around now, and I shift in my seat. “Hold on, angel,” I whisper to my phone. Whatever it is, it can’t last forever. She’s in bed right behind me. This isn’t the end for her.
Bill finds her and pulls her out of this hell. He saves her.
Evan pushes a tray over to her side and starts an IV in the crook of her arm, then hangs a banana bag on a hook.
“What the fuck is that for?” Garrett demands.
“Epineph rine,” Evan answers, and Garrett arches a brow in ques‐ tion. “Adrenaline. There are higher risks when administering it this way, but…”
“Give me a syringe and I’ll stab her in the heart with it,” Garrett in‐ terrupts him.
Evan looks nervous for a second. “A shot of adrenaline straight to the heart will only last maybe twenty minutes before she passes out.
I’m diluting it some and giving her less this way, but it will last longer.”
“Fuck,” I growl, shifting in the seat again.
“Hmm.” Garrett nods his approval.
Evan grabs a piece of sandpaper and walks over to Eve. He starts to rub it over her right hip. She comes alive, thrashing on the ta ble as much as she can. Mum bled cries and screams fill the room, and spit flies from the hole in the mouthpiece.
Evan scrubs and scrubs until he’s rubbed the area raw. When it starts bleeding, he’s satisfied and tosses it to the floor, then picks up a knife.
I put my free hand over my mouth when he starts to cut three lines ver tically over her hip. Blood pours down her side and onto the ta‐ ble.
She shakes uncontrollably, and her muscles flex.
“What is this for?” Garrett asks, looking over the marks on her skin.
“This is her number. It’s a re minder of where she once was and where she can al ways be sent back to,” Evan answers. He then un‐ screws a lid to a white bottle that he grabbed from underneath the cab inet and pours it over her bloody skin.
She arches her back and neck, screaming through the mouthpiece.
“What was that?” Garrett demands.
“Sulfu ric acid,” Evan answers, and I tense.
“Won’t that burn her?” Garrett questions. “She’ll be hard to sell if she’s got burn marks all over her skin. You’ve al ready rubbed it raw,” he growls.
Evan walks over to the sink and fills a cup with water. “It’s just a warning,” he states and then walks back over to a strug gling Eve to flush the wound. “It’ll heal.”
Her frail body vio lently shakes, making the table rattle.
Once satis fied the wound is clean, he rubs salt into it before placing a large bandage over it.
I let out a shaky breath. A part of me hates to see her in pain. The other tells me that it was smart to help with infection. Either way, it
should never have happened to begin with.
Evan re moves the IV and picks up a roll of duct tape, tossing it to the kid. “I want her arms behind her back. Tight as you can.”
“Yes sir.” The kid nods.
He goes to work unbuckling her re straints. She immediately starts to kick and fight.
Garrett helps with the last two belts, rips her off the ta ble, and shoves her to the floor. It wasn’t hard. The poor thing has no senses and is weak.
He pushes her onto her stomach, grabs her arms, and pins them behind her back. He holds them up at an angle, and I bite my inner cheek, hoping he doesn’t break her fuck ing arms. I re member Bill and Devin telling us that she had a bro ken wrist that Devin had to re-break because it hadn’t healed properly. But no one ever gave us an estimate of when it was initially bro ken.
Thankfully, the kid works fast, starting at the top of her arms, and wraps the tape all the way down to both wrists. He rips the tape and stands. So does Gar rett.
They all three watch her kick and squirm while she lies naked on the floor. I know her wound hurts, and she rolls onto her back, try‐ ing to re lieve the pres sure on her freshly carved hip.
She’s covered in sweat and gasping for breath through the small hole in the mouthpiece.
“Sir?” the kid asks Evan. “What would you like me to do with her?”
“Put her back in her cell.”
“Like this?” he questions, looking over her re strained body.
“I gave you an order,” Evan yells at the kid.
“Yes, sir.” He picks Eve up and carries her out of the room.
Garrett turns to face Evan. “I want to see progress.”
Evan grinds his jaw. “It will come,” he prom ises. “It takes time—”
“I don’t think you understand who the fuck she is,” Garrett snaps.
“She would rather die than do what you want. She wants to kill her‐ self, and when she re alizes she won’t be successful, she’ll push you to do it.”
Evan shakes his head. “It will work. She will be the best re cruiter we’ve ever had.”
The video stops and I frown.
Re cruiter. There it is again. It makes me think of the meeting that Bill and Adam called at Blackout. Why I’m on the run with her. They want to set my girl up as helping to lure oth ers into sex slavery and
blame her for those women’s deaths.
I don’t believe it.
She would never do that. Can a person be brainwashed? Absolutely.
She’s proof of that. How she feels about being useless…unable to have a child…they brainwashed her to believe that. Too many years of damage to undo. But to force some one to endure the same abuse she sur vived? No. That is not who Eve is. Not who she wants to be.
Garrett was right. Eve would rather die or hurt herself than hurt some one in nocent.
Getting out of the chair, I turn and come to a stop when I see my wife standing behind it, her watery eyes on my phone in my hand.
FUCK.
EVERETT I’m tossed onto a cold surface and try to scramble away, but there is nowhere for me to go. I can’t see or hear. So I lie flat and kick out my legs.
When I don’t feel anything, I drop them to the floor and try to calm
my breathing.
What happened? Where am I?
I was fighting with Evan and then…nothing.
Everything hurts. My face is pounding and it’s itchy. I can feel rough mate rial all over my skin. Something is wrapped around my neck. A
collar, maybe?
My hip is burn ing. Did they brand me?
I have no use of my arms or hands. They’re se cured tightly behind my back. I’m hot. Can a person over heat? My face is sweating, and I can barely breathe. Whatever is in my mouth is big, and it has some kind of tube that keeps hitting the back of my throat that makes me gag.
I can’t die like this. In my own vomit. I will go down fighting. Not
helpless.
“Eve?”
I blink, and my blurry vision rises to meet my husband.
He looks away and sighs heavily. “I’m sorry—”
“When did you get that?” I ask with a shaky voice.
“While you were sleeping.”
“Why”—I clear my throat—“would you watch it?”
His jaw sharpens before he an swers. “I want to know.”
“To know what?”
Running a hand over his head, he says, “What you went through.”
“What I went through?” I re peat with a sour taste in my mouth.
I sit with my back against a cold wall. There’s nothing else for me to do. I jump when I feel hands on my face. I’m shoved forward and start to fight, but then the mouthpiece is gone, and I re lax.
Finally. I want to cry but don’t think I have any tears left.
Then the thing around my neck is re moved and the hot mate rial over my face is pulled off.
“Hello, dolly.” Evan kneels in front of me.
I say nothing.
“How do you feel?” He runs his thumb over my lips, and I lean into him. “That’s my good dolly.” He drops his hand to my hip, and I whimper. “Would you like something for the pain?”
“N-o,” I man age to get out. I hate the drugs.
“Are you sure?”
I nod and beg. “Please?”
“Please what, Eve?”
“My arms. I want my arms.”
He pulls out a pocketknife and holds the blade to my neck. I arch away, pushing my head into the wall. “Have you learned your les‐ son?”
“Yes,” I rush out. “Yes. I prom ise. Please…”
“Lie on your stomach,” he orders, stepping back.
I push myself off the wall and lie down on my stomach, my head to the side, and he starts to cut the tape.
A sob escapes when he sits down next to me and pulls me into his lap. I don’t have the use of my arms. They just flop to my sides, and I bury my head in his chest.
“Now, now, dolly. I don’t like to hurt you. You know I love you,
right?”
I’m sobbing, unable to answer him.
“Shh.” He runs his hand over my sweat-covered hair. “You make me hurt you, Eve. I’m here to help you. You just need to let me.”
I nod my head, soaking his shirt with my tears, snot, and drool. “O- kay,” I hiccup.
I look up at my husband, and he’s just staring at me. Why are things com ing back to me? Why am I letting them in? I liked it when I didn’t re member. When that part of my life never existed. It was a night mare that I woke up from.
Kashton steps forward, and I take one back. His jaw sharpens, and
he glances away.
“What I went through,” I re peat again.
“Angel—”
“Want to know what happened after that video ended?” I look to his phone in his hand. “Evan left me in my cell like that for twenty- four hours.” My gaze re turns to his, but he can’t look at me. “By the time he re moved my hood, I was a sobbing mess. I begged him to help me. Told him that I’d be his best girl.” I swallow the lump in my throat. “He told me he loved me. That he was doing it to help me.”
Kashton drops his head and rubs the back of his neck.
“Is that what you want, Kash? To know how pathetic I was?”
“You were never pathetic,” he growls. “You were trying to survive.”
“Sur vive?” I snort. “I wanted to die, Kash.”
He glares at me, and I step into him.
“My first week at Dollhouse, a guard came into my cell at night, and I knew what he wanted.” I lick my lips. “What every man I had ever met wanted from me—my body.” I wrap my arms around my‐ self. “When I didn’t willingly give him what he wanted, he took it.”
He runs a hand down his face.
“The next night he came back.” I sniff. “I re fused to let it happen again, so I did the only thing I thought would stop him.” My voice cracks.
Kashton reaches out and brushes his tatted knuckles along my tear- streaked cheek. “What did you do, Eve?”
“I pissed and shit myself,” I an swer, ashamed, and he tilts his head to the side. “It’s all I could think to do to make myself be unattrac‐ tive to him. To make him disgusted by me.” My body shakes with anger. “But he didn’t care.” Fresh tears fall from my eyes, and Kash‐ ton wipes them away too. I wish he could do the same with my memory. “He rubbed my face in it like a dog. Then he beat me, but not before he got off.” I give a rough laugh. “Be cause God forbid a man not get to have what he wants. He ended up making me de‐
spise myself.”
“Eve—”
I step back from him, and his hand drops to his side. “What else do you want to know, Kash? Want to know about the time they pierced my nose like I was cattle?”
He looks away, and his Adam’s apple bobs when he swallows.
My chest tightens. “You know about that too? How?”
He doesn’t answer.
I slam my hands into his chest. “How many videos have you watched?”
“Five,” he an swers, looking back at me.
Five videos? I know about the day I was dropped off at Dollhouse and this one, now my nose pierc ing. What did the other one show?
One was humiliat ing enough. I give him my back, spinning around.
“Eve, wait.” He grabs my upper arm and turns me to face him.
I swing. My hand slapping him across the face. “Don’t touch me,” I scream and then shove him back, but he doesn’t budge.
“Stop, Eve,” he orders, but I hit him again.
“Fucking bastard!” I shout at the top of my lungs. This man is sup‐ posed to be my husband. The man I spend the rest of my life with, and now I can never look him in the eyes again.
He’s different from Evan, Adam, or Bill. They know I’m bro ken.
Kashton is supposed to see me differently. Evan is ruining that.
“Let go of me,” I demand, trying to yank my arms free of his iron grip.
“Fucking stop, Eve,” he growls. Then my legs are kicked out from underneath me, and I’m on my back. Kashton’s on top of me, his hands gripping my wrists and shoving them above my head.
“Get off me,” I say through gritted teeth.
The door opens to the owner’s suite, and I stop fighting. Our heavy breathing fills the room.
“I heard screaming. Need some as sistance, sir?” the man asks my husband.
It instantly makes my blood boil. What about me? Why not ask if I need help? I’m naked on my back, and he’s on top of me, pin ning me down. What if I wasn’t willingly here with Kashton?
“Leave,” Kash orders.
The guy quickly looks from me to my husband. “Hooke keeps seda‐ tives —”
“Leave or I’ll throw you fucking over board,” Kashton shouts, inter‐ rupting him.
The man slams the door shut, and Kashton places his attention back on me. “Are you done?” he barks at me, sucking in a deep breath.
His cheek is red from my hand, and his jaw is clenched. Hard blue eyes search mine, waiting for a re sponse. I huff, softening my body and tightly closing my eyes. He re leases my wrists, and I place my hands over my face.
“Don’t do that.” His voice is no longer harsh, but there’s still an au‐ thorita tive tone. “Don’t hide from me, an gel.”
I refuse to look at him. I can’t. Too ashamed of who I am. What I
allowed to happen to me.
“Eve?” he growls.
I turn my head with my hands still cover ing my face, and suddenly his weight disappears. I roll onto my side.
His hands are rough and forceful, shoving me to my stomach. My eyes spring open when he grabs my arms and pulls them behind my back. “Kashton.” I whimper when he places my wrists tightly in handcuffs.
Then his hand falls between my legs. I bite my lip to hold my breath when his fin gers gently play with my pussy. I know what he’s doing.
“Spread your legs,” he commands, slapping my ass when I don’t comply fast enough.
Pushing my knees apart, I lift my pussy in the air for him.
He be gins to fin ger me, and I bite my lip, re fus ing to let him know I’m enjoying it.
“I’m your husband, Eve. Your Lord. You vowed to be mine. That means I own you. Every part of you. Do you understand that?”
I sniff and tears fall from my eyes onto the carpet.
He re moves his fin gers and slaps my pussy, making it sting, and a moan escapes my lips. “Answer me,” he orders, doing it again.
“Y-es.” I gasp.
“Yes what?” Another slap.
I cry out and my body trembles. “You’re my Lord. I belong to you.”
“Good girl.” His fin gers re turn to my soaked pussy, and this time I rock back and forth, hoping he fucks me. I’d rather him choke me out than fin ish the conver sa tion we were having. Be ing some one’s useless whore is all I’m good for. This is what I know.
He re moves his fin gers, and I slump, try ing to catch my breath, but stiffen when I feel some thing cold pressing up against my lips. “Re‐ lax, angel,” he growls, and I know what’s coming.
I moan when he begins to push the toy into me. “That’s it.” His free hand rubs on my clit in a slow and taunting way. I begin to pant, wanting more.
My pussy fills with the toy, and I break out in goose bumps.
He grabs my hips and rolls me onto my back, crushing my cuffed arms underneath me.
Kashton straddles me, and I see he has a Sharpie in his hands. Bit‐ ing off the lid, he spits it out and starts to write on my chest.
My wide eyes go to his. “Kash?” I begin to panic. “Please…don’t.”
It’s my hallucination all over again.
“You’ve left me no choice, Eve,” he says flatly.
I try to sit up, but his left hand grips my throat and he shoves me down, pinning me to the floor while his right hand continues to write on me. “Please…” I choke out.
“You’re going to learn the hard way” is his only re sponse to my des‐ peration.
He drops the Sharpie, grips my upper arms, and pulls me to my feet. Moving his hand to my hair, he drags me over to a mirror, and I
trip over my own feet to stop him.
It doesn’t work. In stead, I shut my eyes as he forces me to my knees in front of it. “Look at your self,” he commands.
I bow my head, letting my hair shield my face and the tears that run down it. I’m trembling at the thought of what he wrote on my body. It’ll last for days. Weeks, even. It’ll be a constant re minder of how worth less I am.
Seconds later, his hands are in my hair once more, yanking my head up, and I squeeze my eyes shut. He wraps some thing around my neck and fas tens it in place, pulling pieces of my hair. Then it starts to tighten.
My eyes spring open and meet his in the mirror to see him standing behind me. I can’t breathe. The collar around my neck is so tight that it’s taking away my air.
I try to tell him, but nothing comes out of my mouth. In stead, I’m gasping for breath.
He moves to stand in front of me. Crouching down, he runs his tat‐ ted knuckles through my tears. “It’s an inflatable posture collar.” He informs me. “The more I inflate it, the more it cuts off your air.” He holds up a black pump in his hand, and his tatted fingers wrap around the bulb, squeezing it once more.
My wide eyes re main on his and my face throbs from the lack of oxygen while my pussy clenches on the toy it’s filled with.
He opens the valve, and the collar deflates. I gasp in a burning breath before chok ing. He waits patiently for me to get myself under control.
“You’re beau tiful, Eve.” He tells me, and I blink away the tears that fill my eyes. “You don’t need to be ashamed of who you are.”
I try to adjust myself, but I’m on the floor with my knees tucked underneath me, my arms cuffed behind my back, and a posture col‐ lar on that has the potential to choke me. He has total control of me, and I’m dripping wet for him.
His eyes search mine. “I love you and I’m going to keep re mind ing
you of that un til you believe it.”
“I…do,” I whisper hoarsely.
He tilts his head to the side. “I don’t think you do. They brain‐ washed you, Eve.”
I try to shake my head in denial, but the strict collar pre vents it.
“I could see a hundred videos of you, and it wouldn’t matter. The only things that matter now are…you’re my Lady…my whore…my toy.” His fin gers drop to my breast and I lean into him. “I’m the only man who will touch you, play with you, and fuck you.”
“I know,” I assure him through the knot in my throat.
I’m so confused. Who I was and who he thinks I can be. I’ll still be a useless whore. His useless Lady. He knows I want to run and hide from him, but he won’t let me. Not this time.
“We’ve been here before, angel,” he says, reading my mind. “You and me in a room on a yacht. I let you get away, but I told you that would never happen again. You can’t es cape me. Not even in your mind.” He stands and I look up at him through my watery lashes.
“This will be your first lesson.”
He holds up the black bulb that has a small tube running to my col‐ lar. Kashton squeezes it twice, and it re stricts my air but doesn’t cut it off completely.
Then the toy he placed inside my pussy starts to vibrate. If I could
moan, I would, but I can’t do anything.
“Look at yourself, Eve,” he demands.
My heavy eyes fall to the mirror in front of me and I see my re flec‐
tion.
I vow.
You vow.
We vow.
It’s written down my body in large black letters. “We took vows, an‐ gel. Vows that cannot and will not be bro ken.”
I take a long breath, filling my lungs, then slowly re lease it. The vi‐ bration between my legs gets more intense, and my hips buck for‐ ward on their own. My body breaks out in a sweat, and I wish I could beg him to let me come.
He sits down behind me on the bed, his knees on either side of my shaking body. His tatted fin gers gently touch the side of my face, pulling my hair to lay down my back. “Gorgeous.” They fall to my
breasts, and they play with my hardened nipples. “You’re going to prove to me that you believe me.” His eyes are as cold as ice as they hold mine.
He’s going to re train me. My husband knows that my memo ries are coming back. I shared too much. So he’s going to wipe them clean, and if I could speak, I’d thank him. I’d much rather be his whore than re member who I once was.
“Now”—he lets go and picks up a re mote—“let’s get started.”
