Interviewer: Sergeant Luke Carter (LC)

Interviewee: Harrison Woolf (HW)

Date: October 31, 2025 Location: Hope Falls police station

LC: Thank you for coming in. I just want to state for the record again that you are under no obligation to be here.

HW: I need to know what happened to my wife.

LC: I understand. You said you had something to show me?

HW: Yes.

LC: For the tape, Mr. Woolf has taken two rings from his pocket.

HW: Her wedding ring and engagement ring. Eden left them behind. She always does when she goes

running. Have you found her yet?

LC: I’m afraid not.

HW: The crazy woman outside my house yesterday, who showed up again at the gallery claiming to be Eden, then broke into our home, and stole her car. Have you found her?

LC: No. But we have found the car.

HW: Where?

LC: Abandoned about a mile from Hope Falls in Blackmoor National Park. I’m just trying to establish the facts and understand how all of this fits together.

HW: Well, if you had arrested that woman in the first place maybe none of this would have— LC: I’m sorry to ask, but was there any possibility of an affair?

HW: An affair?

LC: Yes.

HW: Who? Me? Or my wife? Do you mean me with that woman? Or do you mean my wife and someone else? Why do you think she committed suicide if nobody has found her? Did anyone actually see her jump? Shouldn’t you be out looking for her?

LC: The coastguard is searching now, but due to the tides here it can sometimes take a long time for … HW: A body to wash up? Is that what you’re trying to say? Jesus fucking Christ. I can’t believe this is happening.

LC: As you say, we don’t know for sure what has happened yet. Is it possible your wife might have just left?

HW: Left me, you mean?

LC: Could she have gone to visit someone without telling you? Is there a friend who might know where Eden is? Someone who would know her real state of mind?

HW: Are you saying I don’t know my wife? She was fine. She was happy until the other woman

showed up.

LC: Do you have any children?

HW: A daughter.

LC: What is her name?

HW: My daughter doesn’t have anything to do with this. She’s never even been to Hope Falls.

LC: She doesn’t live with you?

HW: She’s eighteen.

LC: I’d like to speak to her.

HW: I already told you … LC: Her name and contact details would be very helpful.

HW: Fine. Gabriella. What? Why are you staring at me like that?

LC: The woman claiming to be your wife last night also said she had a daughter called Gabriella.

HW: Well, she was clearly deluded about many things. She pretended to be my wife, so why not pretend to be the mother of my child too?

LC: Is there anyone else who might have had a grudge against you or your wife?

HW: Why are you asking about grudges if you think she committed suicide?

LC: Am I right in thinking you still have a flat in London as well as your home here in Hope Falls?

HW: I don’t think it’s illegal yet to own two properties.

LC: No, but I imagine it must be expensive. Did your wife have life insurance?

HW: I think I’m going to leave now. If you have anything else to say to me you can do it via my solicitor.
